Twofold is a dating waitlist, so we keep what matchmaking needs and nothing more. We never sell your information, and we never share it with anyone without your prior written consent.
What we store
Your waitlist answers: your email, your age (worked out from the date of birth you enter, which we don’t keep), gender, who you’d like to meet and at what ages, your borough, and how far you’d travel. Also when you confirmed you’re 18 or older, saw the safety notice, and agreed to AI processing.
Your interview: the transcript of each part, with phone numbers, email addresses, links, and social handles removed, and the matchmaking notes written from it.
If you become a founding member: the contract you signed, including the name you typed, and the payment, amount, and any refund, from Stripe. We never see your card number.
How you found us: the ad tags in the link you arrived on (UTM tags and click ids), and your IP address, browser, and ad cookies when you joined, which measure our ads.
Sign-in links, stored only as a hash. Each works once and expires after 30 minutes, or 7 days for the link in your welcome email.
Any hold, and how many interview minutes you used each month, so the cap works.
Voice and AI
Nothing goes to our AI provider, OpenAI, until you agree in writing before the first part. In a voice part, your microphone audio then streams from your browser to OpenAI, which runs the interviewer and transcribes both sides. We don’t record or keep the audio. We keep the transcript, and send your answers to OpenAI again to write your matchmaking notes.
OpenAI handles API data under its own retention policy. To withdraw your consent, write to us, and we stop sending your answers to OpenAI.
Who sees it
Before your batch opens, only the people who run the waitlist. When it opens, we’ll tell you exactly what an intro shares with the other person before anything is shared.
Service providers that run parts of the service, each for its job only: Stripe for payments, OpenAI for the interview, Supabase for our database, Resend for email, and, when they’re on, PostHog for product analytics and TikTok and Meta for measuring ads.
Ads and analytics
When analytics are on, PostHog counts page views and steps, such as joining, finishing an interview part, and starting checkout. It never gets what you said.
TikTok and Meta get the steps that measure our ads, with your email hashed first and the click details above: joining the waitlist, opening the founding month, and a founding payment with its price. They never get your answers, your gender, who you’d like to meet, or anything from the interview.
How long we keep it
While you’re on the waitlist, until you delete your account.
When a founding contract ends, New York law has us delete the information you gave us and send you a certificate of deletion. We do that 14 days after the refund email, unless you choose in writing to stay on the free waitlist, for example in Account.
Delete your account any time in Account. We delete it right away and email you a certificate of deletion. Stripe keeps its own records of payments and refunds, as financial record-keeping laws require.
Your choices
